Marble patterns are a perfect backdrop for wedding stationery as can be seen in my new range of invitations and save the dates.
I have always loved marbled designs since visiting Florence, Italy as a teenager and marvelling over the marbled papers in the shops.
There is something so spontaneous and fluid about the happy accidents that can occur in front of your eyes as the paper picks up the swirling colours underneath. Motion captured on paper.
Marble is ironically ‘hot’ right now in fashion and interiors and has and always will be popular for stationery.
I have made the most of its current appeal and started offering it in my wedding stationery range.
I love how these blue marbled wedding invitations have turned out. They have a timeless quality to them with the classic combination of blue and white and minimal detail apart form the watercolour like marble wash over them. A combination of typefaces adds additional interest, as does the couple’s initials featured in overlooking circles at the top of the invitation. The cicrles and initials are carried through onto the reverse of the envelopes.
These wedding reception plan cards are an elegant way to let guests know where they are seated. They are printed with black and gold marbled veins on textured white card and have a gold ribbon detail running around them.
Also available in blue and white, they have a lovely crisp, modern feel.
